Injectors or atomisers deliver the fuel into the cylinders with great precision. With the right timings atomised, together with the oxygen present, they ensure optimum combustion. The load on injectors is enormous. Exposed to great forces and high temperatures, they function in difficult conditions. Stringent environmental requirements place high demands on injector technology. It is therefore easy to imagine that after a long time the operation is no longer optimal and needs to be replaced.
